Therme’s central objective is to enhance the wellbeing of both its guests and the wider community. Alongside providing health-supporting services in its facilities, Therme Group is dedicated to extending its impact by delivering multiple CSR programmes.
Since opening in 2016, Therme Bucharest has been actively contributing to the community it serves through its CSR activities.
This has included providing free access for groups and individuals including:
• Ukrainian refugees living in Romania
• Local service members: In 2022, Therme Bucharest offered relaxation packages to 110 fire-fighters and their families. The programme has also provided packages to members of the police force and community volunteers
• Participants in the Colour Run. The programme is intended to encourage people to run 5k
• High-performing students (Therme Bucharest has a long-term partnership with ASE Bucuresti)
• Athletes (through on-going partnerships with Romanian sports clubs such as the Romania Gymnastics Federation and the Romanian Rugby Federation)
During the summer, Therme Bucharest runs the Therme Summer Sports platform with sports competitions for professionals and amateurs. This promotes the importance of outdoor sports and enables access to local sports clubs.
Therme Bucharest runs educational programmes for children and adults such as first aid
demonstrations and ‘Lifeguards of the Galaxy,’ where children get to be a lifeguard for a
day.
It also runs tours on water safety as well as geology, energy and water.
Complementary therapy programmes, including ‘Kineto Bebe’, teach parents simple pool
exercises to support children with disabilities.
Even before a Therme facility is operational, Therme Group is committed to being a positive force in the community. We work closely with local organisations to help boost health and wellbeing and ensure that Therme facilities are perfectly suited to benefit the communities they serve.
